Teach Your Own Lesson Project
I am going to give each person in class the opportunity to teach a class. Here is what you will need to do:
• Select Lesson 2.4, 2.5, 2.6, 2.7, or 2.8.
o Each person will get a different lesson so you need to have Mrs. Allshouse okay the lesson you will be teaching.
• Create a 30 minute lesson based on the information in the book and teach it to your classmates.
o You can use PowerPoint, the smart board, the dry erase board or other visual aids.
o You can have activities, including but not limited to animated algebra on classzone.com, that correspond with the lesson.
o You can use worksheets that I have, just make sure to ask me to see them and I will photocopy the sheets for you.
o You must define the Key Vocabulary listed at the beginning of the lesson.
o You must have at least 3 examples.
• Assign homework.
o Select homework problems for the class, a minimum of 20 problems must be assigned.
• Lessons 2.4 and 2.5 will be presented on September 26, 2011.
• Lessons 2.6 and 2.7 will be presented on September 28, 2011.
• Lesson 2.8 will be presented on September 30, 2011 at the beginning of class.
